No.
In the state of Colorado, you do not need a referral to see a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Colorado offers direct access, meaning you can begin treatment right away without waiting for a physician’s prescription.
If you’re unsure whether physical therapy is the right first step for your situation, we’re happy to discuss your case on a discovery call and help you decide what’s best for your goals.
If you plan to submit for out-of-network reimbursement, we’ll provide a superbill with all the necessary documentation for your insurance carrier. Please note that reimbursement rates vary depending on your individual benefits.
Your first visit begins with a comprehensive one-on-one evaluation where we take the time to understand your history, goals, and the demands of your sport or lifestyle. We’ll assess how you move, train, and recover to identify the key factors contributing to your current limitations.
From there, we’ll create a personalized plan that blends hands-on treatment, movement assessment, and performance-based exercise. By the end of your session, you’ll have a clear understanding of what’s driving your symptoms, how we’ll address them, and what steps will move you toward feeling and performing your best.
Wear comfortable, athletic clothing that allows you to move freely, similar to what you’d wear for a workout or training session. If we’re focusing on the lower body, bring or wear shorts. For shoulder, neck, or upper back sessions, women may prefer a tank top or sports bra that allows access to the shoulder blade area.
A changing space is available if you need to change before, during, or after your appointment.
